Tea Party, Gilad Shalit
May. 16th, 2011 04:40 pmDream #1: There was a holiday known as "Shloshim" on the 30th day of counting the Omer. I was with my teacher (Hikh) in a library, and as I turned to go I was very surprised that he tapped me on the hand. It turned out he was unable to speak. However, with gestures he explained that he wanted to invite me over for Shloshim to eat dinner with his family. All the food turned out to be finger sandwiches, served with tea. The Queen was there; she was on welfare (in other words she was the Queen as described in the book "The Queen and I" by Sue Townsend - a book which I recommend, especially since no one else I know has read it).
Dream #2: My sister and I climbed a white spruce tree in Saskatoon to protest Gilad Shalit's captivity. We took a train to get to the tree. A large crowd followed us, mostly gentile, non-Israeli friends who were improbably interested in our (also improbable) arboreal protest.
