Old Model Police Car: C+ Of confused design, this vehicle blends a traditional police car look with weird military interruptions such as khakhi accents. Is that an attempt to seem more badass or important? (Israeli soldiers get much more social honour than police officers, who are seen as helpless, low class losers.) A great opportunity was missed to follow the American lead and put a thought-provoking, easily parodied slogan beneath the logo.

New Model Police Car: A- Mostly bland, but with one fascinating feature: a squad car number painted on the roof of the car in such a way that it is almost impossible for anyone to view, especially in Israel where something like 12% of the population consists of dwarves. This whimsical placement suggests a better world, a world where people know witchcraft and can fly around to check out car roofs.

UN Van: B White with "UN" written in sky-blue Ariel, completely free of any sort of logo, the UN Van seems friendly and open source. Looking at it, one realises that one could easily make their own vehicle appear exactly the same. It feels not so bad to have international forces driving around and checking you out, because their very appearance invites you to join them.

Magen David Adom Ambulance: C- The sides of these ambulances are walls of text featuring "Magen David Adom," already three words, in various languages, as well as the names of private persons who have contributed money to the ambulance. It looks crowded and weird to the point that in an actual emergency, a sick person would probably have a spasm from looking at their supposed rescue vehicle. There's also something inherently tacky about the huge donor names splashed across the doors.

Jerusalem City Trash Collector Truck: F A garbage truck should be grungy and, if at all possible, menacing. However, the Jerusalem garbage collection features a slick, disturbing cartoon of a giddy lion with a broom. Its written appeal for Jerusalem residents to try to put their own shit in the trash is depressing in its desperation and futility.
