Shy Killer
Dec. 7th, 2011 09:42 amI dreamt that I was a shy, middle-aged serial killer, who lived a hermetic existance in a small apartment surrounded by gardens. It looked like the cancer ward in Belfast my Aunt Grace was once in, with red rails all around. I was under investigation because of something that happened to a 26-year-old woman in my building complex.
My only friend was Tony Hill, a character from the crime series Wire in the Blood, who on the show does in fact cultivate friendships with serial killers and seems to share something of what breaks them. Anyway Tony Hill was the only person I let "visit" me, which meant that I would open the door a crack and look at him while he spoke. One afternoon he came for such a visit and as I peered through the tiny opening, he told me he knew I was innocent, which I was, but sort of by accident.
I had a special empathy with 26-year-old women and believed I felt their pain. Sadly, this same weird bond was also what lead me to kill so many women of that age, in that killing them was how I processed my feelings and my perceptions of their feelings.
In real life, I'm 26. @_@ Usually, it's easy for me to interpret dreams, but man.
