Elevator to Pakistan

I dreamed that Ovadia Yosef took a position at my yeshiva (in which he would never set foot). In the dream, my father died, and Rav Ovadia advised me that in order to say mourner's kaddish, I would need to insert a musical straw into a raw beet and blow, "to produce an electronic tune."
I dreamed I travelled to Pakistan, via huge industrial elevator. I was carrying my lulav. When the elevator opened at the bottom into a boiler room, a Pakistani man in a tuxedo came up and said "what's that?" I explained what the lulav is for. "Isn't that crazy?" he asked. "We have that exact same holiday, only half a year later."
I read it's No Makeup Week. That's great, but I notice men aren't asked to examine their "dependence" on their grooming habits or professional presentation, nor do people desire to hear them say, "I'm doing it for myself." Their use or disuse of grooming products is not expected to reflect on their moral nature or political leanings. It seems in some ways similar to the way women's relationship with food has been constructed (a woman can never just EAT).
